Electrical Estimator/ Electrician

Our client is looking to hire an experienced electrical estimator/ electrician to determine the approximate costs of various electrical installations for LED lighting, LED retro fits, EV Charging stations and solar projects. The electrical estimators responsibilities, include but are not limited to, determining how long each contracted job will last and the labor costs involved. Researching market prices for project materials and equipment and communicating with clients to determine the scope of each project. You should also be able to identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs. Additional Responsibilities include:

Analyzing blueprints to determine materials needed per project.
Determining the amount of labor required to complete each project.
Assist in the Hands on Operations of some projects
Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects
Assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability.
Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.

Prior EV or Solar Experience
Completion of a postsecondary education or electrical training program.
Valid electricians license. (California License but not living in California)
5+ years of field related Electrical experience with Solar Projects
Ability to Travel up to 50% of the time (Around 2-3 day travel)
2+ years in a supervisory position
Valid Drivers License and the ability to pass a drug screen.
Strong Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret blueprints.
