AmeriStaff Employment and Staffing Solutions is seeking an Industrial Craft Electrician for our client in Chatham, VA. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical skills, experience with AC/DC drives, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while supporting plant operations and maintenance.

Pay: $58,000 - $73,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities of the Industrial Craft Electrician:

Plan, lay out, and perform a wide range of installations, maintenance, and repair operations on electrical equipment and wiring across all plant and office areas.

Install, maintain, and repair AC/DC motors, drives, switchboards, lighting and power circuits, controls, and other electronic equipment.

Construct control panels and circuitry from schematic diagrams and/or specifications and verify proper electrical operation.

Troubleshoot electrical equipment, diagnose issues, and replace defective parts or wiring as necessary; requisition replacement parts as needed.

Install conduit, transmission lines, connect motors, controls, safety devices, and transformers with proficiency.

Prepare diagrams when needed to facilitate electrical work based on on-site conditions.

Assist in general plant maintenance operations as required.

Understand and apply safety practices and maintain good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.

Comply with TFC Quality and Environmental Policies, understanding the impact of job performance on product quality and the environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Industrial Craft Electrician:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Three (3) to five (5) years of industrial electrical experience.

Some formal electronic training preferred.

Completion of AC/DC drive school or equivalent on-the-job training.

Strong troubleshooting skills required.

Must pass electrical skills testing.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in reading and constructing from schematic diagrams.

Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
