UW Medical Center-Montlake - Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity to hire a DRAFTING TECHNICIAN 2.

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week, Day Shift

Variable days, onsite

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Prepare moderately complex scaled maps, detailed plans and working drawings from sketches, field notes, or general instructions

Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare drawings to meet government and industrial contract requirements

May act as lead over drafting technicians

Prepare design detail and assembly drawings for use in construction of various equipment and buildings

Prepare graphs, charts, and drafting displays for publication and engineering journals

Draw schematics, wiring, or block diagrams from sketches, parts, and instructions

Solve geometric design problems and produce working engineering drawings in the solution of various design problems; make design calculations

Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering and building record drawing systems

Research technical information from record vault files, engineering catalogues, and technical handbooks

Review hard copy drawing files for compliance with Facility Design Information (FDI) requirements

Order and receive print room supplies and track supply needs

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of full-time experience or training as a Drafting Technician I, or equivalent.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Examination Requirements:

A job element examination (including written, E & T and oral components) scored on the basis of job related experience, training, skill, ability and other elements which are established through job analysis.
