knowledge of fuel types and aircraft fueling operations and procedures; knowledge of FAA phraseology, terminology and communications regulations; knowledge of occupational hazards and safety; knowledge of basic mechanical terminology, parts and supplies; knowledge of basic business principals; knowledge of Federal Code of Regulation Title 14, Part 139 and requirements therein- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and personnel; ability to organize and plan work effectively; ability to work as a team member; ability to recognize safety and hazardous situations and make on the spot corrections; ability to work under harsh climate environments; ability to take charge of situations in the absence of the director; ability to work independently; ability to operate computers using automated billing, word processing, and websites used to aid in airport operations; ability to understand and calculate quantity and dollar amounts- Possess and maintain a valid Missouri operators license; possess personal motor vehicle liability insurance- Complete certification and training in weather observation reporting; CPR, automated external defibrillation, first responder first aid; hazardous material and refuel operation training; complete all training as required by Code of Federal Regulation Title 14, Part 139 including airport rescue and firefighting, airport emergency plan, wildlife hazard mitigation; all training and certifications must be completed within first six month of hiring date- High school diploma or GED equivalent plus specialized training in general mechanics and heavy equipment operation and two years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience#### Benefits- Pay: $17.02 - $21.91 per hour- Dental insurance- Employee assistance program- Flexible spending account- Health insurance- Life insurance- Paid time off- Retirement plan- Vision insurance- Rotating weekends#### ResponsibilitiesPerforms customer service duties to include receipt of payment for aviation fuel, hanger rent, aviation oil and other products at the airport, provide information to customers regarding Kirksville products, services, information and locations, and provides customer service telephonicallyProvides aircraft advisory services using UNICOM radios with proper FAA phraseology and marshals aircraft into position for refueling and to accommodate the airport parking plan during high volume or planned high volume traffic periodsTows and places aircraft into hangers as requiredConducts fuel operations in accordance with Part 139.321, handling and storage of hazardous substance and materials and national Fire Protection Association, Standards for aircraft fuel services 407, and conducts fuel sales using automated billing and collection proceduresPrepares and calculates invoices on sales and maintains an accurate accounting of fuelPerforms ground power unit operation at the proper voltage and amps requirements per aircraft type for jump starts, constant aircraft avionics and onboard component operationIssues Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS) using the Federal Aviation Administration digital NOTAM System in the National Airspace System to inform all pilots using Kirksville Regional Airport of hazardous operational environmentsOperates the Airport rescue and firefighting truck in accordance with Part 139 and NFPA guidelines with full protective gear in case of an aircraft accident/incident and must respond within three minutes; contacts appropriate entities in case of an airport or aircraft accident/incident in accordance with Airport Certification Manual and Emergency PlanManages airport operations during shift with minimum or no supervision and is held accountable for refuel, rescue, billing, collections and aircraft movement procedures and activitiesResponsible for notifying the Airport Director of hazardous activities, accidents, incidents, or any other activity outside normal operating proceduresMaintains Airport grounds around terminal and runways using push mowers, tractor and mower, weed trimmer, rakes lawn area and trims shrubs; operate motor graders for snow removal (maintaining runways to FAA standards); removes snow from side walks and other pedestrian walkways; paints equipment, buildings, daytime markers and signsCleans and sanitizes restrooms, terminal, and Fixed Based Operations (FBO) building: replenishes vending supplies; strips, waxes, polishes, and buff floors, cleans carpets, and furniture; dumps trash cans and ash trays and reline trash cans with liners; fills towel dispensers; clean toilets, urinals, water fountain, windows, and coffee tablesResponsible for hazard identification and notification to supervisorPerforms minor equipment repair on vehicles, equipment and runway/taxiway lighting systemsSecures Airport at night including; checks all lighting systems, check taxiway and clears debris, secure all gates and building doors, secure all aircraft tie-downs and hangars, lock all airport vehiclesJump starts aircraft using appropriate battery or batteries-location of external jacks or internally located battery-type of voltage requiredDirects or tows aircraft using a tug to fueling or parking areas;
