Contract Administrator

We have partnered with a large Design Services company in the Baltimore, MD or Norfolk, VA area to provide them with a Contract Administrator. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Contract Administrator:

#1. Minimum of five years’ experience in overseeing contract documentation or supervising construction-related initiatives

#2. Prior exposure to project collaboration tools like Newforma is desirable

#3. Certifications or credentials within relevant CSI divisions or skilled trade areas are considered advantageous

Responsibilities of the Contract Administrator:

  • Oversees the construction phase for several ongoing projects, ensuring consistent alignment with project goals and deliverables
  • Leads on-site administration efforts, verifying that construction activities conform to approved documentation
  • Defines workflows, resolves on-site challenges, reviews budgets, and ensures required certifications are addressed
  • Coordinates project updates, document changes, and handles review processes, including processing of modification requests
  • Manages incoming quality control reports and testing documentation
  • Evaluates and responds to technical construction documentation and communications
  • Develops final inspection reports (punch lists), coordinates project wrap-up tasks, and assists with post-construction assessments when necessary
  • Cultivates positive working relationships with project stakeholders, including clients and builders
  • Represents the client as lead consultant by managing external partners, chairing jobsite meetings, and making key project decisions
  • Responds to contractor inquiries with technical recommendations, initiating necessary documentation updates
  • Reviews and negotiates scope changes, prepares justifications, and communicates with the client regarding cost implications
  • Assists in the Commissioning process through site observation and troubleshooting
  • Offers peer reviews and constructability assessments during the design documentation stage
  • Handles various additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements of the Contract Administrator:

  • Five years contract administration or construction project management experience
  • Familiarity with Newforma preferred
  • Licensure or tradesmen accreditation within any related CSI Division a plus

Other Key Requirements:

  • 100% in-office work
  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
