Industrial Painter/ Scissor Lift Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION
paints and various coatings to all types of surfaces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Improves and maintains the overall interior appearance by painting and redecorating walls, woodwork and fixtures. Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications.
Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices, applies paint with a spray gun or brush.
May mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.
In general, the work of the maintenance painter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of the work areas including the workshop.
Assists others as part of the maintenance team to perform other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.
Must be able to operate a scissor lift for optimal reach on painting tasks.
