About the Role:
PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to support ongoing turnaround, capital, and maintenance projects in Richmond, CA. This role is critical for driving financial performance through detailed cost tracking, forecasting, and analysis in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze project costs, budgets, and forecasts for TAR, capital, and maintenance projects.
• Track actual vs. budgeted costs, identify variances, and provide timely, actionable insights.
• Develop and manage cost tracking tools and dashboards using advanced Excel functions.
• Generate and distribute daily cost tracking reports and weekly performance summaries.
• Work closely with project managers, schedulers, procurement, and finance to ensure financial alignment.
• Review and validate change orders, evaluating their cost impacts.
• Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on cost performance to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cost Analyst in turnaround, construction, or heavy industrial settings.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, data modeling, automation).
• Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in both independent and team settings.
• Software proficiency: Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, TRACK; Power BI is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with project control systems such as CMIC or TRACK.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
