Plasterer Laborer

Duties & Responsibilities

Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

Assist with mixing plaster, stucco or other compounds according to specifications, and deliver to plasterer

Load, unload and organize materials and tools on the job sites

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, taping, and applying bonding agents

Construct scaffolding, set up drop cloths covering surfaces and work areas

Support plasterers during application and finishing processes

Clean and maintain tools and equipment

Learn techniques and tools used in plastering through on-the-job training

Desired Skills, Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Former construction or labor experience is a plus

Working Conditions

Able to work outdoors in all seasons and work at heights

Exposure to dust, chemicals and possible weather conditions

Physical Requirements

Able climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100lbs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; hear and speak; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Specific vision abilities required by this job include correctable vision to complete work in a safe manner

Pay & Benefit Information

The starting wage for this position is $23/hour, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience and qualifications.
