Fence Foreman (Full Time)

General Purpose

The purpose of the Fence Foreman is to oversee the complete installation of a job according to the designer/estimator’s specifications and the customer’s satisfaction while providing excellent customer service.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Fence General Manager

Principle Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate with management
• Communicate with customer’s in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
• Responsible for the care, inventory and safe operation of all tools, trucks, digging machines and tractors
• Excellent fence knowledge and/or construction installation
• Forklift certification
• Delegate, train and lead laborers in order to grow team and achieve efficiencies
• Be aware of safety procedures and maintain an employee and customer safe department, abide by the Adams Employee Safety Handbook
• Clean driver’s license and the ability to drive trucks and must pass drug test

Physical Requirements

Employees must be physically able to:

• Dig, haul and shovel
• Have physical strength and stamina
• Consistently lift 80 pounds
• Safely operate power tools
• Bend, squat, stretch, climb and lift
• See and hear
• Move material in wheelbarrows
• Withstand the outdoors in all weather conditions
• Work overtime during the busy season

• Basic reading and math skills
• Writing skills
• Organizational skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Follow directions and focus on the job
