Electrical Engineer (Job Code: 1363)
Duties:Responsible for working with machine systems teams to establish converter requirements for e-powertrain; perform analysis and evaluation needed to select the best supplier option; collaborate with suppliers and system teams to develop production components from requirements definition to validation completion; support NTI & NPI programs by communicating with NTI/NPI leads, and preparing and presenting design and gateway reviews; collaborate with client's foreign team for electrical design, verification and validation plans, and functional evaluation; utilize design validation testing, control, modeling, and simulation, PSIM, root cause analysis, electric drivetrain requirements development, full-cycle product development, FMEA, power electronic systems regulatory compliance, supplier evaluation and selection, field issues troubleshooting, and Simulink to perform duties; play an active role in supplier evaluation, selection, and development; execute and support electrical commissioning and testing on purchased components; support APQP activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers; document and resolve field issues; procure and manage inventory and shipping components; and stay up-to-date with the latest advances and market trends in e-powertrain DC converters and inverter.
Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $92,040 per year;
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as an Electronics Engineer, as an eMobility Electrical Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year's use of all the following: design validation testing, control, modeling, and simulation, PSIM, root cause analysis, electric drivetrain requirements development, full-cycle product development, FMEA, power electronic systems regulatory compliance, supplier evaluation and selection, field issues troubleshooting, and Simulink.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
