Commercial Interiors Estimator

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Commercial Interiors Estimator to assist on bids for commercial remodel and build-out work in Richmond, VA. This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity, with a competitive salary and benefits! Duties: -Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed estimates for commercial interior projects. -Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for all divisions of interior construction, including drywall, ceilings, flooring, millwork, finishes, MEP trades, and specialties. -Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure accurate and complete coverage of project scopes. -Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies. -Develop conceptual budgets and pricing during early design phases, as well as hard bids at later stages. -Work closely with project managers and field teams to support preconstruction hand-off and buyout processes. -Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating databases. -Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews as needed. -Monitor market conditions, material costs, and labor trends to keep estimates current and competitive. Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred. -3-5 years of estimating experience in commercial interiors, tenant improvement, or general construction. -Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Sage Estimating, or ProEst. -Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials specific to interior projects. -Excellent math, organizational, and time management skills. -Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Experience working with subcontractors and vendor pricing in the commercial interiors sector.
