Title: Senior Welding and Power Equipment Mechanic

Work site: Gallup Welders Supply, Inc. d/b/a Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply - 606 E Hwy 66, Gallup, NM 87301

Duties:

Provide routine maintenance, repair service, and customer service for welding machines with electronic components and other small combustion engines.

Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance and determine which maintenance or repairs are needed.

Troubleshoot equipment problems by determining the causes of electrical operating errors and deciding how to fix the issue using electrical diagnostic equipment including multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.

Discuss needs and requirements with clients and make appropriate recommendations and advise customers on how to use the equipment.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Protect fellow employees and customers by providing a safe and clean shop environment.

Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of work experience as a small engine mechanic with some experience in all of the following: using electrical diagnostic equipment including multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes; troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical components; using logic gates and electrical theory in repairs; interpreting wiring diagrams; using plasma cutters. Full Time.
