Landscape Architect

Description

Client is needing a Landscape Architect for their Land Development team. This position requires previous experience in the industry and they would prefer two to ten years of experience. The person joining the LD team will work on private land development projects and will be assigned tasks with the project team, and is expected to use their education, intelligence and common sense to work with supervision to create landscape planting plans and graphics. This will include participation in the design process from concept through construction utilizing sound problem solving skills to provide solutions.

Responsibilities:

Under close supervision performs a variety of landscaping, land planning, and site design tasks

Use of computer and Landscape Architect/Planning graphics and communications software

Familiarity with CADD operations.

Design portions of a project under supervision.

Assist in field inventories and construction observation.

Research literature catalogs.

Prepare quantity estimates and cost opinions

Prepare draft reports, memos and letters required for project communications

Attend project meetings as directed by the project manager and/or supervisor

Create proposed landscape planting plans and designs

Provide preliminary sketches and detailed designs

Provide artistic renderings and graphics for presentations

Identify natural features, prepare site analysis plans, and prepare plans for mitigation or protection.

They would prefer to have someone in the office 5 days per week, but for the right individual who doesn't need a lot of supervision, they could offer a day of remote work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
