Engineering Technician

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bloomington, MN for an Engineering Technician.

• The Engineering Technician will be responsible for the assembly of first commercial pilot.

• You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and Lab Director to deploy technology on the farm.

• This will involve identification and documentation of the assembly process, equipment design, system fabrication, and installation.

• You'll be expected to maintain and improve the system on the installation site.

• You'll also assist with running experiments in our laboratory to help drive future engineering decisions.

• You will have the opportunity to define this role as your skillset grows.

• This is a hands-on role and you can expect to spend half your time working physically.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical and technical education, applicable engineering degree is preferred

• Experience in an engineering role preferred

• Strong Analytical Skills and ability to troubleshoot

• Proficiency with CAD

• You've physically built something before (does not have to be in professional setting)

• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site setting

• You will have prior experience making something from scratch.

• You will have hands-on shop experience and the ability to work independently on new projects.
