Job Description
As an experienced countertop carpenter with tools with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support projects (schools, hospitals, multi-family, hotels, warehouses, etc.) in the Oklahoma City area (no per diem). Comfortable installing safety railings, platforms, safety guards, hole covers, wood blocking into walls, doors, cabinets. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $35 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Create and reference blueprints throughout a project
- Cut tile and countertops for ovens, stove, and backsplash
- Experience with quartz, granite, and marble
- Cut and shape various materials
- Ensure structures, framework and materials are up to code and undamaged
- Follow written and oral instruction given from the supervisor
- Ability to install countertops
- Display strong math skills for measuring, cutting, and installing materials with little to no errors
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of finish carpentry experience, specifically with quartz and countertops
- Must have tools to include diamond blade and suitable saw (circular or plunge saw)
- Reliable transportation Work well as a team or independently, as needed
- Be reliable and committed to finishing each project until the end with minimal absences
- Demonstrate good communication skills with employer and supervisor
- Have a positive and results driven attitude to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to work in variable weather (cold, heat, windy, etc)
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
