Job DescriptionSummary:
Meta is seeking an Architect, Data Center Design professional to support Global Standards within the Data Center Design team. In this role, you will support CSLA standardization from ideation through change management processes, ultimately influencing and implementing decisions within the standards library for implementation globally. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our software operates enabling innovation for the company. Building and operating data centers the right way from the day they go live is synonymous with ensuring capacity availability and capital conservatism. The data center design team approaches facility design from the chips on the server boards to the facility mechanical and electrical distribution systems which ensure and maximize efficiency of our compute infrastructure.
Required Skills:
Architect, Data Center Design Responsibilities:
1. Manages change management and standardization of Civil, Structural, Landscape & Architect related activities globally
2. Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners and external consultants to evaluate, coordinate & lead implementation of changes to the Facebook Data Center Global Standards
3. Technical leader managing consultants to implement global programmatic design and/or initiatives, ensuring business goals, technical needs, and contract terms are met
4. Review CSLA change management and provide feedback
5. Collaborate with multiple teams across different disciplines
6. Drive project schedules while working closely with design and construction to ensure milestones and completion dates are on track
7. Lead CSLA change initiatives with project teams in schematic design, design development, and construction administration to support the project manager during construction
8. Travel to datacenter sites when needed
9. Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies
10. Detail-oriented, possess organizational skills, biased-for-action, and drive progress with little direction.

11. 10+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Civil, Structural, Landscape and Architectural
12. Experience with industry standards, building codes and safety standards
13. Experience with Office, Revit/ BIM and Bluebeam
14. Experience improving cost assessment and design through different applications
15. Experience with cross-discipline teams to design critical facility syste
