Electrical engineer

An Electrical engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This position will be overseeing electrical and instrumentation/control systems design in complex industrial facilities, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.

responsibilities:

• Act as the Electrical Engineer on facility projects.
  
  
• Represent client interests in specification editing and design reviews.
  
  
• Provide technical feedback on Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls deliverables.
  
  
• Review design packages and documentation from third-party teams.
  
  
• Work on fast-paced industrial projects with a focus on semiconductor manufacturing.

Skills:

• Arc flash, voltage drop, short circuit, and load flow calculations.
  
  
• Electrical equipment specification and selection.
  
  
• PLC, DCS, and controls systems.
  
  
• NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE standards.
  
  
• Electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM PTW, EasyPower).
  
  
• strong verbal/written communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  
  
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain in Idaho).
