Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, member of WSP. is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Boise, ID; Overland Park (Kansas City), KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

Responsibilities include:

Detailed design of generating plant and renewable energy electrical systems under the supervision of a lead electrical engineer

Electrical system upgrades under the supervision of a lead electrical engineer

Typical tasks include the development of one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable sizing and routing, panel schedules, material take-offs, and writing of specifications

Required Education/Experience:

0-2 years experience

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering

Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills

Desired Education/Experience

Student membership in IEEE

AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience

EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certificate

Construction experience, including electrical construction, would be a plus

Intern experience in the design or operation of generating or heavy industrial facilities would be a plus

Intern experience at a Consulting Engineering firm would be a plus
