St. Vincents Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincents is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the systems second-largest hospital.

Job Summary:
Assists with the maintenance of equipment, systems and structures.

Responsibilities:
Assists with performing testing, inspection, implementation and maintenance of equipment, systems and structures.
Performs minor repairs and replacements, including replacing light bulbs and fire extinguishers, as requested/necessary.
Receives and distributes materials throughout the facility.
Performs the moving of items within/between locations and from/to storage, including furniture, equipment, and files.
Light carpentry to include wall & door repair, sheet rock repair and install.
Light electrical to include replacing of bulbs, ballasts, switches and fixtures.
Light plumbing to include clearing sinks, toilets, and drain lines. Removal and installation of plumbing fixtures to include faucets, sinks, toilets and both water and drain lines.
Painting, both interior and exterior painting.
Other Duties as assigned

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):
Licensed Drivers License credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Work Experience:
2 years maintenance experience.
