Brush and Roll Painter Job Description Brush and roll painters apply coatings to vessels and marine structures using brushes and rollers, often for touch-up work, stripe coats, or full coatings. They also prepare surfaces by scraping, cleaning, and protecting areas not to be painted. Painters are responsible for following procedures and using the correct mixing and handling techniques for the specific coatings. Comply with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental rules and regulations. Perform additional duties as necessary for job completion in a safe and timely manner. Work overtime or shift work as required. Essential Skills Experience in shipyard and industrial painting. Skill in paint preparation and clean up. General labor experience. Ability to work within OSHA requirements relevant to the shipbuilding industry. Capability to follow directions correctly and promptly. Additional Skills & Qualifications 6 months of previous experience in a similar role. Work Environment The work environment is a shipyard setting where painters are expected to work within OSHA requirements and comply with safety and environmental regulations. Painters may be required to perform overtime or shift work as part of their regular duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
