About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budgets.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects

Analyse costs, value, and risks associated with tenders and contracts

Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs

Prepare bills of quantities and other tender documents

Manage, analyse, and report on commercial and contractual aspects throughout the project lifecycle

Negotiate and agree on interim valuations, claims, and final accounts

Advise on procurement strategy and contractual procedures

Allocate work to subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts

Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks

Provide cost advice and forecasting throughout the construction process

Ensure compliance with local building regulations and standards

What do we need from you

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost engineering

Rail projects experience is a must

Proficiency in quantity surveying software

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Strong contract administration skills

Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

Effective communication and negotiation skills
