R030 MATERIAL MOVING EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
Operate mobile equipment designed to move or transport materials such as building materials, earth, and wastes.
Material moving may also include operation of equipment such as conveyors, cranes, and hoists (semi-trailer drivers,
bulldozer operators, crane operators, earth mover operators, backhoe operators, and heavy equipment operators).
SCOPE
While working to achieve objectives, subcontractor will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
SPECIFIC TASKS
Duties include but are not limited to:
Work may include but not limited to mobile loading and overhead crane operations
Safely transport and manipulate loads at a nuclear facility with the use of lifting equipment, such as cranes and hoists
Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge safely
Bind loads to cranes
Inspect equipment and machinery and ensure equipment meets all OSHA and ANSI standards
Keep and update maintenance and activity log
Carry out basic repairs to machines
Set up machinery based on complex manuals
Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals
Work closely with ground operators to complete daily duties
Perform equipment inspections and minor repairs on a regular basis follow all National Codes and Standards.
Attend and successfully complete all?site specific training prior to beginning any work
Shall comply with all Policies and Procedures
Report on site daily (as schedule) regardless of necessity of crane operations, will be paid for all hours onsite
Only work / training listed in SOW will be required
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
Hands-on experience with cranes and building materials
Problem-solving and attention to detail are also must-have skills for you, so that you can adapt to
different weather conditions and settings.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols
Previous experience as a crane operator or a similar role
Working experience handling different types of cranes
Ability to lift heavy loads, work in heights and stand for long hours
Accuracy and attention to detail
Pass medical, drug and background check
Commercial driver?s license
Relevant certification (e.g. NCCCO)
Education and Experience Requirements:
Valid NCCCO Certification
Minimum 80 ton Rotary Crane- Certified
This position is parttime as needed.
