Job Opening: Low Voltage Telecommunications Technician Location: Metairie, LA Pay Rate: $19-$32/hr (Based on experience) Express Employment Professionals in Metairie is currently recruiting Low Voltage Telecommunications Technicians for a reputable local contractor specializing in the design and installation of data and voice networks. This includes fiber optic and high-speed copper systems. Key Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, and repair telephone, data, and fiber optic cables Install surface mount raceways Test and certify cables using Level V test equipment Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols Maintain clean MVR and pass hair follicle drug screen and background check Obtain TWIC card if not already held Qualifications: Prior experience in telecommunications or similar technical field Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints Skilled with copper & fiber optic testing equipment and hand tools Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Military experience preferred but not required This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company and grow your career in the telecommunications field. #metla
