Talascend is seeking a Facilities HVAC Technician for a contract opportunity located in Pennington, NJ.

Overview:

Support maintenance operations in commercial and industrial facilities. This role includes HVAC system installation, repair, and general building maintenance. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, safety-minded, and ready to work independently on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor facility safety and maintenance conditions

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (AC units, furnaces, ventilation, etc.)

Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections

Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC, mechanical, and electrical issues

Replace lighting, move furniture/equipment, and manage vendor services

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations

Keep accurate service and maintenance records

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or GED

2-4 years general facilities experience

3-5 years commercial HVAC experience

EPA Section 608 Universal Certification

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

Vocational training or Associate's in HVAC

Experience with building automation systems (BAS)

Familiarity with blueprints and wiring diagrams
