Wild Branch Builders is seeking an Lead carpenter to join our crew. Wild Branch specializes in high end residential renovations, additions and new construction. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of residential construction, and all aspects of building from initial framing to complete interior and exterior finish phase, willingness to learn and bring their own knowledge and insight to unique projects.

Lead Carpenter
The Lead carpenter will be tasked with executing the construction portion of a project. This will entail interpreting the construction documents and running a crew of 2-4 additional people in an efficient manner. The project manager will handle all billing, estimating, scheduling, etc. but, they will rely on the Lead carpenter to perform the majority of the carpentry work, as well as managing certain subs.
Qualifications
A skilled Carpenter should have at least five years of carpentry experience and have a thorough understanding of rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and all trades associated with home remodeling and construction and the ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion. The position requires the ability and willingness to work in a team and a willingness to interact with other employees and clients. Strong communication skills are essential as well as the ability to take direction and execute tasks in a timely manner. All candidates must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform carpentry tasks with an attention to detail.
Lead a team of carpenters to perform certain scopes of work.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the Project Manager.
Responsible for job site safety, cleanliness, security and protection from the elements.
Perform every aspect of general home construction without specific direction, this includes but is not limited to;
Laying out wall locations from construction documents.
Laying out wall plates - this includes building headers, jack heights, cripples lengths and any required structural needs included in creating openings in a wall.
Locating stair openings from construction documents, landing elevations, laying out and cutting stair stringers.
Locating and installing structural ridges.
Laying out, templating, cutting and installing rafters, this includes hips and valleys.
Installing Exterior and Interior Trim details.
Cabinet installation.
Window installation.
Siding installation.
Roof construction
Always act in a manner as to represent the principles of Wild Branch Builders.
Hold themselves and all carpenters under their direction accountable for their work performance, actions, and appearance.
Responsible for the production of projects in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Maintain a good attitude even through adversity.
Be able to problem solve without the direction of superiors.

Official workday is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Physical Demands
Employees may be required to stand or walk over 75% of the time. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling may be required. Lifting up to 65 lbs. Must meet vision requirements to obtain a drivers license.
