Equipment Operator II - Parks

Summary

Performs general parks maintenance duties at local parks and parks facilities to include general repairs and mowing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs daily maintenance checks on all equipment and maintains equipment, records, and work orders
• Operates equipment such as brush trucks, bucket trucks, dump trucks, tractors, backhoes, and all types of mowers
• Provides backup to Crew Leader and Foreman as needed
• Performs duties to include but not limited to sanding, painting, welding, woodworking, seeding and sodding grass, playground construction and maintenance
• Serves as an essential worker as needed; responds during business closures to meet operational requirements
• Follows all city policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience in landscaping and park maintenance or related area
• Two (2) years of experience operating brush trucks and bucket trucks

Valid Class B CDL
