Job Summary: The Warehouse Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, is responsible for the organization, inventory, and maintenance of construction materials and equipment. This role involves driving company vehicles for deliveries, coordinating with distributors, performing minor repairs on powers tools and equipment, and ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order. The Coordinator will also handle logistics for transporting equipment and materials to job sites, collaborating with foremen, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicle
Specific Job Duties :
Material and Inventory:
- Organize and stock construction materials and power equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track materials using Excel lists provided by the project manager to supply project orders.
- Accurately monitor and assess inventory levels, adjusting storage areas where applicable.
- Identify and report any missing items or discrepancies in inventory.
- Maintain warehouse appearance: clear isles walkways and ensure material is properly organized.
- Receive and store materials in proper locations
- Prepare and assemble all required equipment and materials for project use.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to small engines and electrical cords.
- Contact third-party services for advanced repairs beyond minor maintenance.
- Ensure that all equipment is fully operational before dispatch.
Logistics and Deliveries:
- Loading trucks and properly strapping them for delivery.
- Drive company vehicles to deliver materials and equipment to job sites.
- Unloading materials and equipment properly and safely.
- Coordinate the safe and efficient unloading and loading of materials on-site in collaboration with foremen or site contacts.
- Ensure timely delivery and pickup of inventory.
Safety and Compliance:
- Operate forklifts and perform flagging and rigging as required.
- Adhere to safety protocols during equipment handling, loading, and unloading.
- Coordinate safety deliveries and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow safety procedures to eliminate safety risks and injuries and enforce standards according to OSHA and Nations Roof Safety Standards.
Vehicle and Equipment Management:
- Ensure that all company vehicles undergo annual inspections and maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles; ensure they are cleaned by users upon return and notify the appropriate supervisor if not done.
- Direct project sites for efficient unloading and loading of materials and equipment.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the operations and success of the team and company.
- Maintains relationships between the organization and contractors, and suppliers.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license and insurable driving record.
- Experience pulling a box trailer and operating a forklift in the construction or warehouse industry.
- Must have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Able and willing to obtain OSHA, Rigging and Forklift certification(s), provided by Nations Roof (where applicable).
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow direction, effectively plan, organize, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Basic computer skills preferred. (Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
