Job Description



A Survey Technician is needed for a utility holding company in the Denver, CO area. This role leads field survey operations and data collection while serving as a vital link between engineering, design, and survey teams to ensure accurate land and construction data for project execution.

location: Denver, Colorado
job type: Contract
salary: $19.72 - 24.65 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: Associates

responsibilities:
  • Respond to internal survey requests and gather accurate site data (property lines, land contours, existing facilities).

  • Act as liaison between Engineering, Design, and Survey departments.

  • Record and collect field data using electronic data collectors.

  • Download and manage collected data in office systems for analysis and documentation.

  • Analyze data to verify accuracy of feature codes and line strings.

  • Research land records to support survey accuracy and resolve field issues.

  • Collaborate with office staff to finalize drawings and documentation.

  • Maintain communication with external stakeholders (survey companies, engineering firms, agencies, public).

  • Stay current on surveying techniques, tools, and technologies.
