Construction Project Manager

Position Overview:

• We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager (PM) to oversee the construction and delivery of both new construction and renovation projects ranging from $1 - $25+ million.

• This position requires managing 3-6 projects, concurrently, under limited supervision.

• The PM is responsible for the management of the entire project, including scheduling, purchasing, quality and safety.

• The Project Manager will support and work with management, operations, finance, and the estimating staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications, and the overall project management.

• The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, possess strong communication/interpersonal skills and be confident in his/her ability to develop and manage multiple projects at one time.

• Collaborate with Superintendent(s).

• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Buy out projects.

• Point of contact for client project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers and more.

• Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners.

• Collaboration of project safety plan with Superintendent(s).

• Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements.

• Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements.

• Collaborate with estimating team in the review of construction plans / specifications and break the scope of work into subcontractor trade packages.

• Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks.

• Have demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Understand project logistics and project schedule.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's (Required)

• Construction management: 5 years (Required)

• 4-year degree in Construction Management is preferred.

• 2-5 years of construction industry project management experience is preferred.

• Experience managing multiple projects at one time.

• Solid computers skills with MS Office Suite, construction management software (Procore) and financial management software (Timberline, Spectrum, Foundation, etc..).

• Knowledge of construction cost, principles, design, cost reporting and cash flow management.
