JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer (PE) is directly responsible for document management and assists the Project Manager in all aspects of cost, quality, schedule, and safety. Responsible for assisting the projects teams with obtaining, evaluating, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations needed to construct projects on time, within budget, safely, and with quality in partnership with the project team. Builds and maintains relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values. To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred or experience in related field.
  • Computer literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, coordinating, organizing, tracking, updating, and/or expediting the flow of project information as required.
  • Assists Project Manager (PM) with change management process tracking and mitigating all cost liabilities.
  • Assists Project Manager with constructing project budgets.
  • Assists Project Manager with project forecasting / project reviews.
  • Assists Project Manager with project invoicing, both subcontractor/supplier and owner billing.
  • Manage submittal process to ensure conformance to the contract documents and timely procurement of materials so as to maintain quality and schedule.
  • Manage RFI process, reviewing all FRIs for potential cost / schedule impacts and mitigating those liabilities accordingly in concert with the project team.
  • Responsible for creating the filing system and maintaining all files.
  • Generate Requests-For-Information (RFIs) and track through submission, review and distribution.
  • Maintain the Record Drawings and ASI, CCD, RFI, and Field Order logs.
  • Responsible for creating the submittal log, reviewing submittals and follow through of the approval process.
  • Ensure approved submittals are distributed to all required parties in a timely manner, and maintained in the file system and project management database.
  • Create and maintain Project Closeout requirements: owner training, attic stock materials, as-built drawings & closeout documents.
  • Timely transmit all official contract documents to required parties.
  • Regularly attend meetings with the Project Manager and generate the minutes of each meeting.
  • Responsible for knowing and understanding fully the Scopes of Work for the subcontractors onsite.
  • Facilitate and support management and field supervision staff as required.
  • Understand and utilize the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines including Master Forms Library.
  • Participate in ongoing training efforts.
  • Ensure workplace safety. Report issues to project team immediately.
  • Performs other functions as requested of them.
  • Ensure client needs are exceeded throughout the course of delivery.
  • Acts as a steward of CPPI culture, mission, vision and core values.
  • Upholds and communicates CPPI safety standards.
  • Takes ownership for the project.
  • Behaves in a manner that sets a positive example for others to follow in the PE role.
  • Makes day-to-day decisions that enhance profitability without sacrificing our values or relationships.
  • Grows and mentors Project Assistants, Interns and fellow Project Engineers.
  • Responsible for mitigating and reporting project risk.
  • Follow all policies and procedures and assure that others do as well in a spirit of teamwork.
  • Participates in meetings and company functions as well as completes required training as needed.
