Job Description

A leading Civil Engineering firm specializing in land development is seeking a skilled LSIT or Office Survey Technician. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of metro area residential projects, ranging from small to large-scale developments. This role involves drafting and preparing ALTA/NSPS surveys, preliminary and final plats, and certificates of survey for new home construction, as well as developed and custom home sites. Additionally, the position may involve contributing to public development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Draft survey certificates for housing developments and other new projects.
  • Collaborate with field crew to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Partner with engineers and clients on layout and grading plans.
Essential Skills
  • Surveying, ALTA/Civil 3D experience: 2+ years.
  • Land Surveying experience: 2+ years.
  • ALTA/NSPS survey experience: 2+ years.
  • AutoCAD and topography skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Possession of LSIT is ideal but not required.
  • Experience working with land development companies within a surveying firm or team.
Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based, with the individual expected to draft and create survey certificates from Monday to Friday, offering some flexibility in work hours. The office environment comprises a small team including 4 Professional Engineers and 3 registered land surveyors who lead each team, along with EITs and LSITs on staff. During the summer, there are 5-6 field crews running to support the projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
