Job Duties:

This position has 5 or more years of experience and is considered to have mastery knowledge of commercial plumbing and wet side HVAC applications and design (Trade specific). A Plumber IV works closely with the General Foreman to develop project specific task plans for the labor and material requirements.

  • Develop solutions to make sure issues never become problems.
  • Reviews projects with General Foreman, Superintendent and/or Project Manager after equipment and subs are procured.
  • Does physical survey of project with the General Foreman and/or Superintendent to ascertain conditions and reports back to PM in writing, if required.
  • Does takeoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner as requested by the Foreman, General Foreman and/or Superintendent.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions to include, but not limited to, scheduling, material control, and rentals.
  • Provide daily job completion percentages.
  • Assures all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies and other requirements as they occur.
  • Documents all incidents as they occur and notifies the Project Manager and Field Leadership. Recommends and implements corrective action.
  • Responsible for assuring that all jobs have weekly reports filled and turned into the office weekly. This is to include safety / toolbox reports, preconstruction, weekly production report and any project specific reports.
  • Conducts inspections on jobs, assures jobs are detailed to Pueblo Mechanical standards, assures jobs are ready, and participates as needed, in start-ups and coordinates as needed with contractors, engineers, subcontractors and owners as necessary.
  • Oversees and directs crew work on a daily basis, cooperating with other team members as necessary.
  • Work directly with all other Field Leadership personnel and supervisors to ensure all site and crew activities are in sync.
  • Delegate jobs to crew members as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters.
  • Meet with supervisors and necessary personnel as required in to fully resolve conflicts, complications and other issues according to company and project requirements.
  • Train new crew members whenever they join the team and provide workers with continuing education according to the latest industry requirements in order that all work meets the most current specifications.

Requirements:

  • Five years' experience and/or have mastery of all technical aspects required for this position.
  • Able to give direction and make decisions related to the company's financial success.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments.
  • Work to increase Team efficiency and uphold high standards of safety at all times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and punctual.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.
  • Must be professional in appearance and speech.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Also requires frequent bending and lifting, standing and walking over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climb ladders.
