Description

Employees will assist an electrician in performing a variety of tasks relating to installing and maintaining

various electrical infrastructure. This will involve installing electrical gear, panels, conduit, racks,

electrical cable , and other equipment in an array of different types of buildingEmployees will normally work with other employees, but may, occasionally, be required to work alone,

on a job site with other employees, but in a separate area, with minimal supervision

Employees must be responsible individuals with communication skills, both oral and written

Employees must follow all safety precautions, using all necessary personal protective equipment.

Always demonstrate a high personal example of health and safety standards in all places

All tasks shall be conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner

Employees must continually participate in ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, company profit,

and personal job skills mastering

Employees will experience working conditions in both indoor and outdoor settings

Employees may be required on some underground installations, to excavate or move earth by hand methodsEmployees may be required to drive a cargo van to a job site

Employees may be required to tow a cargo trailer with a pick up truck or a cargo van

Employees may be required to drive and operate a bucket truck after training on the equipment

Assist an electrician or an electrical supervisor by following their instructions pertaining to the following tasks

Execution of plans of electrical wiring for well functioning power distribution, lighting,

and other electrical systems

Perform connections of wiring in electrical circuits and networks as instructed by an electrician supervisor

Prepare, assemble, and install equipment, distribution panels, controls, conduit, racks, and underground PVC

Assist in pulling and terminating cabling productively to equipment and distribution panels

Assist in installation and repair of residential electrical services including entrance wire, meter sockets,

grounding, and electrical panels - knowing and applying all current electrical code requirements

Assist in installation of new residential, type NM wire, cut in mounting boxes in existing walls or ceilings,

fish wire into the walls or ceilings

Assist in troubleshooting & repair of residential electrical problems such as partial loss of power

Assist in troubleshooting and repair of electrical problems in industrial applications

Assist in installation of machine circuits in industrial applications

Assist in installing metallic conduit, pulling wires into conduits, installing industrial disconnects,

motor control circuits, and control boxes

Assist in replacement of existing lighting systems, install new or additional lighting systems

Assist in setting of utility poles and assembling equipment on the poles

Assist in troubleshooting and repair of electrical problems in sewage treatment plants

Responsibly operate a company vehicle including, extended service van, pick up truck, bucket truck, man liftResponsibly operate a company vehicle while towing a trailer, including, cargo trailer, low boy, dump trailerResponsibly operate and maintain power equipment and hand tools

Demonstrate the ability to use electrical specific tools, power tools, testing equipment, and hand toolsAbility to use and understand electrical schematics, drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams

Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability

Good physical condition and flexibility to work occasional long shifts

Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance and work on ladders and scaffolds

Valid drivers license with a good driving record

Adhere to national, state, and local building codes and electrical regulations

Complete work orders on time
