Description of Position -- This position includes, but is not limited to the following duties:i. Ability to operate the asphalt paving machine to ensure trucks are gettngdumped properly and the screed gets the material it needs to perform itsoperations.ii. Communicate effectively with drivers so material is being dumped into paverproperly and they are set up on the project to maximize production and round-trip times.iii. Understand the functionality of the paving machine and the automatic systemsassociated with the machine.iv. Abide by all safety guidelines, company policies, and quality of work standards.v. Consistently keep a well maintained, organized, and clean work area.vi. Obtaining a CDL is encouraged, but not mandatory.vii. A valid driver's license with the ability to tow trailers and drive other non-cdlvehicles is required.viii. Although this is an operating position, labor intensive work will be required onan everyday basis. This work is to include but not limited to asphalt raking andshoveling, operating and lifting handheld power tools and equipment, and othermiscellaneous labor work.ix. Assist Foreman in equipment maintenance. This includes equipment repairs,breakdown, changing wear parts, etc.x. At least 2 years of paving experience or similar construction experience isrequired to apply for this position.
