Job Summary:
Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines in the production process to create a part at the Vidalia, GA location.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines in the production process to create a part.
2. Creates part based on blueprints or models on simple machines with limited variability, repetitive in motion
3. Responsible for the daily upkeep of machine (5-S specifically)
4. Responsible in Quality of produced units.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
18 years or older
Mathematical acumen
Must have a minimum of 1-4 years of Assembler l experience
Must be knowledgeable in operating a hydraulic press
Can work on simple machines, can read blueprints and do simple calculations related to programming machinery.
The Job will require a successful completion of a training program to include:
o Safety Equipment and Guarding
o Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures
o Startup and Routine Operation
o Part Changeovers
o Die Changes - internal and external
o Crane Operation, Inspection, etc
o Daily Pres Maintenance
o Basic Troubleshooting Techniques
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3's of work shift
Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist
Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day
Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3's of work shift
Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day
Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day
Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions
Moderate physical exertion
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
