Architectural Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a design focused Architectural Technician to join our collaborative, women-owned architecture and interior design firm. This role is ideal for someone who is highly proficient in BIM content creation and management, works with a team player mentality, and has a passion for design excellence. This is not a copy and paste role; the candidate should have a knack for design and bring ideas to the table.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project teams with drawing production, 3D modeling, and technical detailing across all project phases.
• Collaborate closely with architects and designers to develop detailed construction documents.
• Ensure all designs comply with legal standards and local planning regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure technical drawings are clear, complete, and aligned with project goals.
• Perform field verifications for electronic document creation.
• Create, manage, and maintain BIM content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and project-specific customization.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in BIM standards and workflows within the office.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an architectural or design firm with an emphasis in lodging, mixed-use, and restaurant environments.
• Proficiency in BIM platforms (Revit and Enscape required)
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, and building systems.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a design focused approach.
• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio displaying a variety of detailed projects.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Bonus Points For: experience with interior architecture projects, familiarity with other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite), interest in hospitality driven design practices.
