SUMMARY: The job of the maintenance / painter is to be under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor maintaining general maintenance along with painting throughout Logans campus
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Assist in carpentry repair of doors, walls, and shelving.
2 Assist in all minor repairs including adjusting tables.
3 Prep and paint walls, doors, equipment and other structural surfaces. Using brushes, rollers and spray
gun.
4 Assist in snow removal when required, on a yearly basis.
5 Assist with lawn mowing and weed eating when necessary.
6 Maintain clean, safe and orderly work sites.
QualificationsCOMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have good interpersonal and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills. Must be able to interact with people at several different levels of the university in a professional manner. Must react well under pressure. Must have good project management skills and be able to complete projects on time, within budget, and within deadline. Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities.

Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED), must be able to read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions, and or solve practical problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: Painting, general maintenance, and snow removal.
Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general knowledge of computers including word processing and spreadsheets.
