System One is seeking a skilled Designer Drafter to join our team at an industrial nuclear power station in Mineral, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for performing drafting duties that include the preparation, maintenance, and updating of documentation for an industrial Nuclear Power Station. This includes creating and revising mechanical, civil, and electrical circuit drawings, as well as standard drawings, maps, and charts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and update P&ID, circuit, and one-line diagrams, as well as other technical drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to produce detailed drawings from sketches and specifications.
- Utilize CADD software (Microstation/AutoCAD) to create and update drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform freehand and mechanical lettering for drawings, posters, and prints.
- Retrieve and issue original drawings from records management and reproduce maps as needed.
- Maintain the computer-aided drafting system in operational condition.
- Execute basic calculations and assist in interpreting construction estimates and technical documents.
- Work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a design drafting capacity.
- Proficient in CADD software, specifically Microstation and AutoCAD.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic calculations.
- Experience in utilities is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate Degree in Drafting/Design is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively in diverse teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Interview Process:
