Summary

This position is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components using welding techniques. This individual will work closely with blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality work. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely repairs. Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make needed repairs on equipment. Complete assigned work orders, assure all work assignments are completed, and accurate records are maintained. Compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards.

Essential Functions (mental & physical)

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project
  • Select appropriate welding techniques and equipment based on project needs.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including arc welders, MIG welders, TIG welders, and plasma cutters.
  • Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting as necessary.
  • Fit and assemble metal components into complete structures or assemblies.
  • Perform various welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal parts.
  • Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Repair damaged or defective metal structures.
  • Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.

  • All equipment necessary to provide service for Bakery support

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Good manual dexterity and mechanical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME)
  • Experience with a variety of welding processes
  • Knowledge of fabrication software (e.g., AutoCAD)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge on AC, DC drives motors, motor controls, sensors, and electrical wiring.
  • Knowledge and maintenance experience in PLCs, (Preferred)
  • Punctuality and good attendance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge and maintenance experience in drives, motor controls, sensors, hydraulic, pneumatic controls.
