This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a solid commitment to craftsmanship and safety. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Construction & Installation: Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, and cabinetry. Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials with precision. Install doors, windows, floors, cabinetry, and other fixtures. Maintenance & Repairs: Inspect and replace damaged structures or fixtures. Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity and safety of the facility. Tool & Equipment Management: Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment, including lumber, saws, hammers, and nail guns. Clean and store tools and equipment properly after use. Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Dispose of waste materials properly. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in carpentry is preferred. Experience: Proven experience as a carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Experience with various carpentry techniques and materials. Skills: Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to operate carpentry equipment safely and effectively. Work Environment: The role primarily involves working within facility interiors, including offices, restrooms, and common areas. The candidate must be comfortable with exposure to painting chemicals and the physical demands of carpentry work. This role may require climbing stairs and ladders or working from a lift platform. This is an essential position which may require work during inclement weather, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
