Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive System Maintenance & Repair: Perform essential maintenance, monitoring, and repairs across Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure facilities and building systems meet applicable standards.
HVAC System Optimization: Maintain, inspect, calibrate, and replace parts for heating equipment, chillers (air and/or water-cooled), DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAVs, and air distribution systems to ensure optimum performance.
Advanced Controls Management: Install, maintain, and repair various HVAC controls, including DDC, pneumatic, electric, and electronic systems, and expertly troubleshoot and repair HVAC/BAS control problems.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Efficiently troubleshoot and test controls using specialized equipment like test gauges, amp meters, hydro thermographs, and computers, addressing service calls promptly.
Corrective Maintenance & Quality Assurance: Perform corrective maintenance on equipment, inspect, and test systems to maintain technical integrity, proposing corrective actions when necessary.
Technical Preparedness & Safety: Remain current with technology and electrical safety codes by reviewing technical manuals. Work safely indoors and outdoors, navigating rooftops and tight spaces, utilizing ladders and safety equipment.
Operational Support & Reporting: Maintain responsibility for facility services, corrective maintenance, and inventory control. Prepare estimates for M.E.P. (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) system repairs/installations and make recommendations for such services.

What Were Looking For:
Extensive HVAC/R Expertise: A minimum of five (5) years of commercial HVAC/R journeyman level experience.
Industry Certifications: Must hold EPA Universal level certification per Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, and either NATE, HVAC Excellence Professional/Industry, or UA Star Mastery certification.
BAS & RCM Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing BAS (Building Automation System) schedules, set points, and alarms, along with experience in general RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) practices and procedures.
Physical Capability: Capable of performing physical labor, including walking, standing, lifting up to 40lbs, pulling, climbing up and down ladders, and possessing the agility/dexterity to perform assigned duties.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills are essential for effective interface and coordination with other technicians and team members.
Government Clearance: Must be able to successfully pass a government background investigation.
Educational Foundation: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required. Graduation from an apprentice program or trade school is preferred.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Niagara and skills in Maximo or other CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) are a plus.
