Forklift/Machine Operator

Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated individual to work in our yard, loading trusses and finished parts onto trucks for shipment. This role also involves building trusses, laying out parts using various tools, and interpreting blueprints. The position requires precise measuring skills and the use of nail guns, radial arm saws, hand, and power tools. Will utilize forklifts in the yard to pull lumber. Responsibilities Load trusses and finished parts onto trucks for shipping. Build trusses and lay out parts using blueprints and measuring tools. Utilize nail guns, radial arm saws, and other hand and power tools. Stack wooden products, cut wood, and sand edges. Work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with possible early start or extended hours during hot weather. Perform most overtime during weekdays. Essential Skills Experience in assembly, machine operation, or carpentry/construction. Great attendance record and willingness to learn. Proficiency in measurements and blueprint interpretation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly or construction. Machine operating experience is beneficial. High school diploma is advantageous. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
