Land Surveyor

Assist the management of daily workload including monitoring schedules and budgetsPerform QC/QA reviews of survey information such as raw field data, surveys and ROW plansManipulate raw field data, perform surveying calculations and prepares base mapping using surveying softwareDraft survey reportsCooperate and coordinate with CADD Department and engineering design teamsStay current on surveying law, procedures, equipment and softwareVisit project sites to collect or verify dataWork in the field as a member of a survey crew if the workload demands it.Work on assignments at client's site as requiredRequirements:NJ and/or PA PLS license required, NY licenses is a plus. 5-10 years of progressive surveying experience in the transportation sector including field workProficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD, MSWord and Excel Proficiency with surveying software such as Trimble Business Center and Leica InfinityFamiliarity with surveying and CADD standards of NJ region transportation agencies Strong written and verbal communication skillsA valid driver's license and clean driving record.Physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions and carry survey equipmentAble to work overtime as requiredWilling and able to travel for out-of-state assignmentsAbility to obtain security clearance (SWAC, TWIC, etc.) Preferred Attributes and valued skills:BS in Surveying, Surveying Engineering Technology or equivalent.Experience in:oRight of Way Surveys and documentsoGIS Data Acquisition and ManagementoGeodetic Survey/Use of GPS equipmentoFamiliarity with large point cloud data and data extractionoHydrographic SurveysoProject Planning and Scoping
