Join Thompson Machinery, and let's build a future together!WHAT YOU WILL DOYou'll be responsible for set up, repair, service, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and installation of replacement parts on Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment. While you'll work independently for the most part, there are also service mentors who will provide guidance as needed.You'll alsoInterpret and analyze mechanical, hydraulic, and electric schematics and wiring diagramsProvide high quality repair service on equipment enginesServe customers' needs in a positive, safe, and timely mannerWHAT WE EXPECT OF YOUWe all have different backgrounds, yet we all use our unique contributions to provide the highest quality of service.Basic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredDiesel engine, construction equipment, and/or truck engine training through an accredited technical school OR relevant military experience preferred5+ years of previous hands-on relevant experience with CAT equipment or similar industrial equipment and/or industrial engines5+ years of experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting diesel-powered construction equipment or truck enginesCan work five-day work schedules and availability to work overtime or weekend hours as requiredOwns a complete set of basic mechanical hand tools (drives, sockets, and wrenches)Possess and maintain a current, valid state drivers' licenseWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUAt Thompson Machinery, we believe that great benefits are more than just perks- they're essential for employee well-being and success.
