Job Duties: Hoist Material Handling, Inc. seeks an Engineering Supervisor in East Chicago, IN to designate duties and provide direction on improving design and production processes. Utilize established engineering principles to increase overall productivity and make necessary recommendations to increase value and quality of products. Supervise activities of engineering personnel in assigned area. Train engineering personnel relating to engineering and manufacturing procedures. Work with engineers to develop manufacturing techniques, procedures, and equipment to assist with the fabrication of components and assemblies. Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste. Make recommendations for continuous improvement in workflow and project management. Attend trade shows and conferences, participate in vendor selection, and make site visits to suppliers facilities. Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success. Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers. Maintain high level expertise in field. Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines. Collaborate with other team leaders and departments. Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers. May travel on a quarterly basis for 1-2 days to various and unanticipated supplier site facilities throughout the United States.Annual Salary: $116,438 to$147,055.Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study plus 2 years of production/manufacturing engineering experience in: (1) Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), (2) Modeling and working with CAD software and CREO Parametric, (3) Setting design engineering and testing requirements for products, (4) PTC Windchill PLM software, (5) Troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical, and powertrain systems, (6) Creating and reading engineering drawings and hydraulics schematics, (7) Utilizing a Microsoft Access and Monday.com database management system for engineering change management, and (8) Metal cutting, forming, welding, painting, assembly for manufacturing processes.Interested candidates must submit resumes online at or by email at ... and reference job code 00043 in the subject line.
