We are seeking a Project Manager to support the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) Accelerator Modernization Project (LAMP). The successful candidate must have a strong construction background and proven experience managing capital asset line-item projects under DOE Order 413.3B. This position will focus on overseeing the removal of the existing front-end of the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) accelerator, installing new radio frequency quadropole (RFQ) and drift tube linac (DTL) systems, and updating/modifying existing infrastructure systems in a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of project lifecycle requirements within the DOE Order 413.3B and be skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes environments. This work will be performed inside the existing accelerator facility and requires a detailed execution plan to successfully complete the project during an 18 month facility outage. The systems are technically complex and installation must be precise. The work is primarily a combination of mechanical and electrical scope and requires an understanding of construction subcontracting, work planning/scheduling, and expertise with configuration control.
