Project Engineer

No 3rd Parties/Sub Vendors Location : Remote for a Canonsburg, PA based company Job Type : Full Time Work Authorization : US Citizen / Green Card ONLY Overview : The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate need for a Project Engineer role in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Ideal candidates must have successfully completed their PE exam with a minimum of 1-4 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities : Responsible for the overall engineering and design of telecom projects Detail reviews of site design and structure attachment prior to approval as Engineer of Record Perform ancillary civil/structural design and/or analysis on various structures such as equipment pads, steel platforms, antenna mounts, H-frames, etc Recommend civil and mechanical design changes for telecom sites Develop, maintain and own tools, standards and training, as applicable Review structural documentation for consistency with the overall project Perform quality audit of work products from external parties, as required Respond to consultation work order requests Communicate useful updates in accordance with project expectations Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Certifications Successful completion of PE Exam required. PE License preferred Preferred Experience Experience using MS Excel or other related software for engineering calculations Understanding spatial relationships to resolve potential interference issues Understanding of structural load paths Knowledge of bolted and welded connection design Experience using tnxTower and/or RISA 3D software Experience or knowledge of steel shop fabrication processes and/or knowledge of fabrication shop tools and capabilities Experience or knowledge in tower/reinforcement erection and/or knowledge of tower construction equipment and practices Must have experience leading projects Detail oriented and self-motivated Must have strong customer relations and communication skills Open to innovative solutions utilizing developing technology
