Basic Job Functions:The responsibility of the Finishing Crane Operator includes but is not limited to serving our internal and external customers by safely operating the crane at all times and creating and recording daily crane reports; this may mean operating either of the Finishing cranes during production and down time. The operator may also be asked to operate the Finishing or Mill Cranes as needed, which will require a crane certification. The crane operator will assist with maintenance and clean up in and out of the crane, as well as assisting in other areas as needed for safe and efficient production. The Finishing Crane Operator must work in extreme weather conditions, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:Must have operated at least a 10 to 20 ton overhead crane cab and have a remote driven qualification
