Electrical Construction Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $110,000 $120,000 annually
Location: MN or IL preferred (up to 80% travel)
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead field operations for commercial and industrial-scale solar projects. This hands-on role involves supervising crews onsite, managing daily construction activities, and ensuring safe, high-quality electrical installations.
What Youll Do:
Oversee electrical construction on solar job sites from start to finish.
Supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity.
Plan daily and two-week look-ahead schedules.
Coordinate with project managers, customers, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Conduct site inspections to enforce safety and quality standards.
Review electrical designs and ensure accurate material procurement and timely installation.
Track job progress, maintain documentation, and support performance reviews.
What You Bring:
35 years of experience as a Construction Manager or Electrical Foreman (solar).
Active Journeyman license (required).
Proven supervisory experience managing field crews.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction safety (OSHA, First Aid/CPR).
Proficiency in reading blueprints and managing daily reports.
Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office, construction management tools).
Procore knowledge a plus.
Willingness to travel 80% and work 100% onsite.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor work at project sites.
Exposure to varying weather, loud equipment, and physical activity (lifting, climbing, etc.).
Travel with overnight stays required.
