The typical day of a Mechanical Engineer at Swindell Dressler starts with a few meetings just to make sure everyone is on the same page. From there the day heavily consists of working with the drafting team (8-9 drafters) to go over designs, drawings, bills & materials, and running different calculations. The mechanical engineer will also take points throughout the day to check in on what is being worked on in the shop and help where they can. The mechanical engineer will also work with different Project Managers and Purchasing teams to make sure all proponents of said projects are up to par and able to be completed.
